The Multiplayer sport Event for the promotion of sporting activity and rowing took place at the Molo Sud in Palermo, as part of the European Week of Sport – European Week of Sport launched by the European Commission in 2015 to promote sport, of healthy and active life and consequently the physical and mental well-being of the citizens of the European Community.
Over 30 young athletes between the ages of 12 and 18 participated, encouraged by the public gathered on the pier. Young people will undergo specific training on the Vogalonga, a “non-competitive” rowing boat regatta held in Venice in spring. A delegation from Cus Palermo will also participate in the Voga & Share project, funded by the Erasmus + Sport program.
The partners of Voga & Share, in addition to the Cus Palermo Lead Partner, are the sports association Margherita Sport e Vita – MSV of Margherita di Savoia (Italy), the Institutul National de Cercetare pentru Sport (Romania), the Universidad de Murcia ( Spain), the Športski savez osoba s invaliditetom grada Rijeke (Croatia) and the Ligue D’Aviron des Pays de la Loire (France).
